The understanding of sensors and transducers:

  • Sensors is something that is used to detect changes in physical or chemical environment. Variable output of the sensor is converted to electrical quantities called transducers. At present, these sensors have been made with very small size of the order of nanometers. A very small size is very easy to use and save energy.
  • Transducers is a device that converts one form of power into other power forms for various purposes including changing the size or other information (eg, pressure sensors). Transducers can be either electrical equipment, electronic, electromechanical, electromagnetic, photonic, or photovoltaic. In broader terms, the transducer is sometimes also defined as an equipment that converts the signal into a form lainnya.Contoh common form of signal is a loudspeaker (audio speakers), which converts electrical voltage in the form of a variety of music or speech, to mechanical vibrations . Another example is a microphone, which converts our voice, sound, or acoustic energy into electrical signals or energy.
